A Message from the Director of Health

Since July 2007, I have been privileged to serve as the Director of Health of the Bristol-Burlington Health District (BBHD). As the full-service local public health agency serving the communities of Bristol and Burlington, we have a number of services and programs that protect the health and safety of our communities.  These include school and oral health, disease prevention and control, environmental health, public health emergency planning, and health education. The Health District also works with other agencies who share the goal of healthier communities – many of these partnerships are highlighted on this website.

We have many resources available to the public – and very much welcome your questions about our services or about public health in general.  We also hope you will visit this website often, as we update the information on a regular basis.
